SENTOUSAI honors Japan’s sustainable heritage—where broken roof tiles found new life as textured walls. Like fragments of history kneaded into clay, these tiles recreate the organic beauty of traditional kawarabei plaster. Three varying thicknesses interplay with light, casting ever-shifting shadows that make each surface a living archive of craftsmanship.

This tile was NOT designed to be grouted.

Gray net may be visible from between joints. We recommend using gray/dark gray thinset mortar /adhesive to install the tile.

3mm notch trowel is recommended to install this tile (to prevent excess thinset)
